Camping area and beach in South Ostrobothnia

Welcome to Kangasjärvi!

Kangasjärvi Camping is a traditional holiday destination whose story began in the 1970s. Year after year, visitors return to the shores of a clear, spring-fed lake to stay in cottages, camp, enjoy the sauna, swim, fish, and stay at the caravan area.

During the day, Kangasjärvi is a favourite among families with children thanks to its easygoing atmosphere. In the evenings, it becomes a peaceful lakeside idyll, where you can grill sausages at the barbecue hut and listen to the call of the black-throated loon.

Fishing at Kangasjärvi Camping

Fishing permits for the lake are sold at Kangasjärvi Camping. At the kiosk, you can also ask for more detailed information about fishing rules. You can additionally find guidance on the website of Isojoki Kirkonkylän Kalastuskunta.

Campfires & fire safety

There are two barbecue shelters at Kangasjärvi Camping available for visitors to use freely. Firewood can be found in the wood shed by the beach. Please always remember fire safety: never leave an open fire unattended, and make sure you know the location and availability of fire extinguishers and other safety equipment before lighting a fire.

For fire safety reasons, caravan guests must also follow the required safety distances.

First aid

If you notice a dangerous situation at the beach at Kangasjärvi Camping, act quickly. Life buoys can be found at the pier, the sauna, and the terrace of the private sauna. A rescue boat is located on the beach in front of the sauna. The reception area has a defibrillator and other first aid supplies.

In emergencies, things happen quickly. Download the 112 Suomi app to your phone in advance so that emergency services can identify your location. Everyone should familiarize themselves with CPR instructions, as every second counts in a real emergency situation.

Also remember your own safety: carefully assess your swimming ability, be cautious of deep water, and avoid swimming alone.
